Angel City Football Club Volunteers With Asian Youth Center In Honor Of AANHPI Heritage Month

LOS ANGELES (May 29, 2024) — In honor of AANHPI Heritage Month, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) volunteered with the Asian Youth Center (AYC) on Saturday, May 11 to support the AYC’s food distribution program by preparing food bags to distribute to community members. Volunteers were responsible for preparing food and produce bags, helping clients take their food back to their vehicles, and re-organizing the gym. Volunteers were able to organize and prepare food bags for over 300 local families and provided food bags for over 50 low-income households in the San Gabriel Valley.

In addition to volunteering, 10 percent of the proceeds from ACFC’s 2024 AANHPI Heritage Month Scarf to the AYC as a part of their community impact program. Sanjana Sinha, the designer of the scarf, was also in attendance as a volunteer and was able to present a scarf to Christine Lee, Deputy of the Asian Youth Center.
