A solid and consistent LA Sparks team defeated the Indiana Fever 100-91, ending their five-game winning streak at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday night.

The LA Sparks held a lead of up to 22 points in the fourth quarter and successfully avoided a close finish, despite Indiana's 21-5 run that brought them back within single digits. However, it wasn't sufficient for Indiana to secure a win. Rickea Jackson and Kelsey Plum each scored 25 points to lead the Sparks, who have now won seven of their last eight games.

Playing under a playoffs atmosphere with 16,035 fans in attendance on a weekday, Kelsey Plum had a historic night. The four time all star joined Caitlin Clark as the only players in WNBA history to record at least 20 points and six assists in five consecutive games. Since the All-Star Break, Plum is averaging 21.7 points and 7.8 assists per game -- while leading the Sparks to a 5-1 record.

With Caitlin Clark missing her eighth consecutive game due to a groin strain, Kelsey Mitchell spearheaded the Fever with 34 points, hitting seven 3-pointers. Natasha Howard contributed 17 points, while Aliyah Boston's double-double streak ended at six as she recorded 15 points and nine rebounds.

The LA Sparks delivered a dominant performance with a completely healthy roster, outmatching the Fever in nearly all statistical areas. Azurá Stevens scored 19 points, hitting 7 of 8 shots, and Dearica Hamby added 16 points for Los Angeles (13-15). Cameron Brink shone on defense, tying her career high with five blocks in her third game since returning from injury.

The Sparks have defeated the Fever in all three of their matchups this season. By securing victories against some of the top teams in the league, the Sparks have regained the spotlight and are set to play against the Connecticut Sun on Thursday, a team that is currently enduring a 10-game losing streak away from home.
