The Clippers faced a tense battle against the Raptors, struggling with fatigue during their third consecutive set of back-to-back games. The intensity peaked in the last minute as the score stayed level at 102 with just 38 seconds left. Despite James Harden and Norman Powell being the team's leading scorers with 24 points each, they both missed important free throws in the final moments of the game. But on the defensive end, Terrance Mann stepped up, making a pivotal block against Quickley before coming through again as the Clippers held on to a slim two-point lead, pressuring RJ Barrett into a missed attempt. Upon entering the Intuit Dome, the Clippers seemed disheartened following their first four home game losses. They faced a challenging first quarter against the Spurs, during which Victor Wembanyama and company dropped 40 points, putting the Clippers in a difficult position. Furthermore, the Clippers got off to a poor start defensively, allowing the Spurs' lead to grow to 26 points. But despite the setback, Coach Tyronn Lue stressed the importance of persevering, sticking to a strong defensive strategy, and reducing turnovers. They steadily chipped away at the deficit, narrowing it to just four points as they entered the fourth quarter. As the Spurs began to lose momentum, the Clippers unleashed a relentless 33-9 run in a mere nine minutes. This surge dominated from late in the third quarter until the four-minute mark of the fourth, propelling the Clippers to seize a commanding lead that they maintained until the very last second. This victory surpassed their previous 23-point deficit in Boston on Feb. 9, 2019. Norman Powell led the scoring for the Clippers with 23 points, with James Harden and Ivica Zubac each contributing 17 apiece. On the other end, Victor Wembanyama dominated for the Spurs with an impressive performance, scoring 24 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and blocking nine shots in a losing effort. The defeat marked San Antonio's biggest first-quarter lead blown and the fourth largest by any deficit in team history. Coming in short on firepower against the Phoenix Suns' BIG 3 of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker, the Clippers fought back from a 14-point deficit in the first half but ultimately lost in an overtime battle, with the Suns emerging victorious 116-113. James Harden had a near triple double game, 29 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Harden tried to do everything for the Clips but looked spent on crucial moments. Center Ivica Zubac also came through with 21 points for the home team. Post game, Harden took accountability stating: "Individually for me, I got to play way better, you know what I mean? I think it was just having that week off, getting adjusted to the pace of the game. All of the above. Shooting the ball well, something that I can control, taking better shots. … And then just turning the ball over. Not just getting a quality shot possession by possession. … My play has to be a lot better.” Kevin Durant led Phoenix with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals while Bradley Beal had 24 points and Devin Booker added 15 before fouling out in regulation. The Clippers, sans Kawhi Leonard (knee rehab) played as beautiful as the new arena and blew out the visiting Mavericks 110-96, who were also without Luka Doncic (calf contusion) and Kyrie Irving (rest).
