Upon entering the Intuit Dome, the Clippers seemed disheartened following their first four home game losses. They faced a challenging first quarter against the Spurs, during which Victor Wembanyama and company dropped 40 points, putting the Clippers in a difficult position.

Furthermore, the Clippers got off to a poor start defensively, allowing the Spurs' lead to grow to 26 points. But despite the setback, Coach Tyronn Lue stressed the importance of persevering, sticking to a strong defensive strategy, and reducing turnovers.

The Clippers' second unit, led by the relentless Amir Coffey who scored an impressive 21 points, confidently tightened their defense against the Spurs. They steadily chipped away at the deficit, narrowing it to just four points as they entered the fourth quarter.

As the Spurs began to lose momentum, the Clippers unleashed a relentless 33-9 run in a mere nine minutes. This surge dominated from late in the third quarter until the four-minute mark of the fourth, propelling the Clippers to seize a commanding lead that they maintained until the very last second.

The LA Clippers achieved their first win at their new home in a remarkable fashion, securing their biggest comeback victory after trailing at the end of the first quarter. This victory surpassed their previous 23-point deficit in Boston on Feb. 9, 2019. Norman Powell led the scoring for the Clippers with 23 points, with James Harden and Ivica Zubac each contributing 17 apiece.

On the other end, Victor Wembanyama dominated for the Spurs with an impressive performance, scoring 24 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and blocking nine shots in a losing effort. The defeat marked San Antonio's biggest first-quarter lead blown and the fourth largest by any deficit in team history.

COMING UP NEXT: The LA CLIPPERS are set to welcome the Philadelphia 76ers, with Paul George going up against his former teammates.
