Concacaf Reveals February Club Rankings Update Ahead of 2026 Champions Cup Start
Deportivo Toluca FC claims the top spot
Nine of the top 10 clubs in the rankings will compete in this year's Champions Cup
LD Alajuelense and Mount Pleasant FA lead Central America and the Caribbean, respectively
Miami, FL (Tuesday, February 3, 2026) – Concacaf announced today the February Concacaf Club Rankings update ahead of the start of the 2026 Champions Cup. The index ranks clubs and leagues across the confederation, with clubs gaining points for results in official domestic league matches, regional cup matches, and Concacaf Champions Cup play.
Toluca opens 2026 as the top team in the Club Rankings
After winning the Liga MX Apertura 2025 in December, Deportivo Toluca FC (1,257) opened the year overtaking reigning Concacaf Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul (1,250) for first place. The Mexican side started the Clausura 2026 with an undefeated 2-2-0 record.
Reigning MLS Cup Champions Inter Miami CF (1,249) and Tigres UANL (1,238) held their place as third and fourth, respectively. Canadian Championship winners, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (1,233), the runners-up in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup and MLS Cup, moved up one spot to round out the top five.
Club América (1,230) fell one spot to sixth. The next four teams retained their same position in the ranking, with Columbus Crew (1,224) in seventh place, followed by Los Angeles FC (1,222), Leagues Cup champions Seattle Sounders FC (1,217) and CF Monterrey (1,216).

Nine of the Top 10 clubs will participate in the 2026 Champions Cup
The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup is set to get underway, with nine of the top ten ranked teams featuring amongst the 27 qualified clubs, including defending champions Cruz Azul. Columbus Crew, the 2024 runners-up, is the only side in the top ten that did not secure its place in the upcoming edition.

LD Alajuelense continues leading the Central American Club Ranking
Three-time Concacaf Central American Cup champions LD Alajuelense (1,176) retained its place as the top Central American club after winning the Primera División de Costa Rica Torneo Apertura 2025 title. CD Olimpia (1,163) shortened the distance in second place after winning another domestic title.Â
CS Herediano (1,139) improved two spots in third place. Deportivo Saprissa (1,136) and CSD Municipal (1,134) both fell one place each to complete the top five.

Mount Pleasant remains in command as the best team in the Caribbean
The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup winners, Mount Pleasant FA (1,084), and Defence Force (1,063) retained their places as the top two in the Caribbean. Cibao FC (1,051) and SV Robinhood (1,039) followed in third and fourth, while Montego Bay United FC (1,027) moved up two spots to fifth.

Caribbean clubs among biggest movers
Racing United (975) was the biggest mover of the month, moving up 15 places to 144th overall. Caribbean Cup Third Place finisher and former Champions Cup winner, Defence Force FC (1,063), was the next most improved side, moving up 12 places to 81st. Club Sando FC (998) climbed 11 places and is now 128th.
