Concacaf Reveals March Club Rankings Update Ahead of 2026 Champions Cup Round of 16

• Deportivo Toluca FC retains spot atop the rankings

• San Diego FC earns biggest Champions Cup upset, among biggest rankings risers

• LD Alajuelense retains top spot in Central American rankings, Violette AC claims top spot in the Caribbean

Miami, FL (Tuesday, March 3, 2026) – Concacaf announced today the March Concacaf Club Rankings update following the conclusion of Round One of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, and ahead of the Round of 16. The index ranks clubs and leagues across the confederation, with clubs gaining points for results in official domestic league matches, regional cup matches, and Concacaf Champions Cup play.

Deportivo Toluca FC keeps top spot ahead of debut in the 2026 Champions Cup

Defending Liga MX champions Deportivo Toluca FC (1,263), and reigning Concacaf Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul (1,262) continue to lead the top of the rankings as first and second, respectively. Inter Miami CF (1,254) comes in at third to round out an unchanged top three.

As winners of their respective leagues, Toluca and Inter Miami will make their 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup debuts in the Round of 16. To view the Champions Cup schedule, click here. 

Vancouver Whitecaps FC and LAFC rise in the rankings after Round One series wins

After advancing to the Round of 16 of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (1,242) moved up one spot to fourth place. Los Angeles FC’s (1,240) victory in its Round One series, meanwhile, sees the club surge two spots into sixth place.

LD Alajuelense retains top Central American Club Ranking spot ahead of 2026 CCC debut

Reigning Concacaf Central American Cup champion LD Alajuelense (1,164) maintained its place as the top Central American club. The club will begin its participation in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup in the Round of 16 as a result of its Central American Cup title.

CD Olimpia (1,145) remained in second place in Central America, followed by Deportivo Saprissa (1,145) who climbed up one position into third. CS Herediano (1,140) dropped one place to fourth, while CSD Municipal (1,135) remains fifth to complete the top five.

Violette takes the lead as best team in the Caribbean

Violette AC (1,083) is the new leader in the Caribbean, with 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup winners Mount Pleasant FA (1,080) falling to second place.

Cibao FC (1,058) jumps seven positions in the overall ranking and retains its spot as third-highest ranked club in the Caribbean. Defence Force FC (1,057) fell two places down to fourth, and SV Robinhood (1,043) dropped one position to fifth.

San Diego FC delivers biggest upset in Round One, among biggest movers

San Diego FC (1,193) was the second-biggest mover of the month, moving up eight places to 18th overall after making its Concacaf Champions Cup debut with a 4-2 win on aggregate over Liga MX’s Pumas UNAM.

Panamanian club Unión Coclé FC (1,054) was the most improved side over the past month, climbing 10 places to 88th.
