In what could be a season turnaround win for the Galaxy, Riqui Puig and company showed poise and composure by drawing first blood in the first half courtesy of a Tyler Boyd screamer in the 26th minute.

Like all “El Traffico” matches that are filled with end to end action, this too was a nail biter. In the 57th minute, while the LA Galaxy defenders went ball watching, defensive midfield Ilie Sánchez found the back of the net with a stunning header off a corner kick to level the score 1-1.

As both teams try to establish dominance, it was a Riqui Puig goal in the 73rd minute that placed the LA Galaxy squad ahead 2-1 and put themselves in the win column keeping their season hopes alive.
