U.S. Soccer and DC Unveil “Justice League: Heroes of the Pitch” Comic and Apparel in Dynamic Pop Culture Collection


 Limitededition comic featuring U.S. Men’s National Team players, coaches 

and FOX Sports broadcasters, alongside a new apparel collection, launches 

ahead of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup


ATLANTA (May 20, 2026) - U.S. Soccer and DC today announced a  dynamic pop culture collection with “Justice League: Heroes of the Pitch,” a limited-edition Justice League comic book, written by Dave Wielgosz with cover art by Pop Mahl and interior art by Serg Acuna, featuring 11 U.S. Men’s National Team players joining forces with DC’s iconic Justice League in an original, action-packed adventure. Fans can match the action on the page with apparel and accessories created by lifestyle brands Peace Collective and Sprayground, bringing the collection to life off the pitch ahead of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup. This collection reflects the growing intersection of soccer, culture, and fandom in the U.S. at a moment where the game is no longer just played, but experienced and expressed in new ways.

 

This pop culture crossover features Superman and USMNT Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino coaching a combined team of Justice League Super Heroes and elite soccer players in an intergalactic sports spectacle disrupted by an alien warlord. The story has fun moments for fans to discover and includes in-universe commentary by FOX Sports broadcasters Rob Stone, Carli Lloyd, John Strong, Stu Holden and Jenny Taft. Fans can now dive into the action of “Justice League: Heroes of the Pitch” comic book, available at select DICK’S Sporting Goods (DSG) locations, online at dicks.com and the U.S. Soccer Store.

 

“Soccer is gaining some monumental traction in the U.S., and I believe U.S. Soccer can be a relevant force in the future,” said DC Cover Artist Pop Mahl. “Being able to draw the Men's National Team alongside the majestic Justice League is a watershed moment for me. It was important to not only show all of our heroes but also portray them with the stadium lights, the applause, and glory they deserve.

 

In addition to the limited-edition comic, Peace Collective has created apparel and headwear spotlighting prominent Justice League Super Heroes and Super Villains, paired with the U.S. Soccer crest. The collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, and outerwear. Sprayground is offering a series of backpacks featuring DC’s Batman and U.S. Soccer iconography. All items are available exclusively at select DICK’S locations and online at dicks.com.

Justice League: Heroes of the Pitch” is on sale now at DSG and the U.S. Soccer Store. A Spanish language version of the comic will be available coming soon on DC Universe Infinite at dcuniverseinfinite.com. The collaborative apparel collection is available exclusively at DSG.
